Year 4 visited The Winter Garden Museum in Sunderland to find out about the life of Henry VIII
We found out about Henry VIII through some great activities. Here we are dressed up in period costume.
The girls were asked to dress in velvet dresses. Very posh girls!
The boys were given velvet tunic with a matching hat. I just loved those feathers.
We handled artefacts to find out what Henry did all day when he wasn’t ordering the execution of his wives.
We were preparing to meet one of Henry’s ‘Dukes’ to see if we were ready to join the wedding party. Unfortunately the duke said only very close family were being invited this time.
We also had the chance to visit the actual Winter Garden which contains hundreds of tropical plants. It was really warm when we visited the canopy.
Our day was great and we even got back to school before the bell went.
